UI/UX Design - Data Visualisation
An app that connects travelers with the history of iconic places and local stories, offering personalized itineraries based on their interests.
Users receive notifications at points of interest with background information, stories, and photos.The app is ideal for tourists and history enthusiasts. In addition, they get recommendations for nearby locations and trips based on their visit behavior.
Echoes consists of a mobile app for end users and a desktop dashboard for the client, an international travel agency.
Mobile App
Homepage
The homepage displays your current location, personalized recommendations, and popular categories. A navigation bar provides access to settings, home, and favorites, while a button at the bottom allows you to review your visited locations.
This structure was chosen to give users immediate context and easy access to the most relevant features, creating a clear and intuitive starting point for exploring and navigating the app.
Visited Location Page
This page tracks and displays all visited locations in chronological order, including time, date, and key details. The most recently visited location is highlighted. Users can click on a location to view photos, information, and save it to their favorites. The “more info” option leads to a detailed information page.
This layout was chosen to provide a clear overview of past experiences, making it easy for users to revisit, explore further, and save meaningful locations.

The information page provides detailed insights about the location, along with recommendations for similar places and trips. Travel recommendations include a clear call-to-action linking to the travel agency’s website, encouraging users to book.
Desktop Dashboard

The dashboard provides search and filtering options for locations, along with data on demographics, visit times, and visitor numbers presented through text and visual graphs. Clickable points of interest and cities lead to their own dedicated dashboards.
This setup was chosen to give users clear insights and control over the data, making it easy to analyze trends and navigate between different locations easily.
This dashboard is tailored to a specific point of interest and displays data on peak times, location insights, popular categories, and commonly visited combinations. These insights enable the travel agency to create targeted travel offers that align with visitor preferences, increasing the likelihood of bookings.
This approach was chosen to turn data into insights, helping the agency better understand user behavior and optimize their offerings accordingly.
